To the students of HSLU

The HSLU Foundation currently offers two programmes for HSLU students. The Emergency Assistance Programme for short-term financial emergencies and the Rigi Scholarship for Bachelor students.

1. Emergency fund for students

The HSLU Foundation helps students who find themselves in a particular financial emergency for a short period of time. The emergency fund payments are one-off payments. The emergency fund is supported by private donors.

Who can apply? All students (Bachelor or Master) at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts can submit an application for support due to exceptional financial hardship.

How much will you receive? The fund’s resources are limited, so a maximum of 1’500 Swiss francs will be paid out.

How often can an application be submitted? Anyone who has received an emergency assistance payment once may not submit another application. If an application has been rejected, a new application may be submitted.

Who decides on the application? The HSLU Foundation Board.

You should not apply: if you have not yet started your studies; if you are pausing your studies; if you need a scholarship; if a family member has a financial problem; if you are unable to prove that you will have permanently solved your hardship in the next few months.
