Carles Baiges Camprubí of the architectural collective “Lacol” from Barcelona held the third and last lecture of our series “On collaborations” in the Spring Semester 2026. Lacol uses architecture as a tool for social transformation.

They became known for the cooperative housing project “La Borda”, which is based on three fundamental principles: Communal living, sustainability and participation.

We are pleased to continue the lecture series “On Collaborations” in the Spring Semester 2026. To this end, we have asked our three guests to reflect on the significance of collaborations for their own practice. Unresolved challenges and conflicts will also be considered in this context. To what extent do “collaborations” influence their thinking within their practice, but also within existing socioeconomic structures, e.g., working conditions, and what does this ultimately mean for architectural education?
