Die Startveranstaltungen des Instituts für Architektur werden jeweils von zwei Dozierenden vorbereitet. Neben der Vermittlung der obligaten Informationen geht es immer auch darum, eine gemeinsame Diskussion anzuregen. Die Startveranstaltung des Frühlingssemesters 2024 wurde von den Dozierenden Alberto Alessi und Caroline Ting gestaltet. Alle Studierenden und Mitarbeitenden waren aufgefordert, zwei gedruckte Kopien eines Bildes mitzubringen, das einen positiven Ausblick auf unsere Zukunftsräume repräsentiert…

reflect on the nature of the received image and categorize it by hanging it on the board you consider best matching your interpretation.

integrate the interpretation. The original contributor of the image can agree or disagree with this interpretation, by adding the own black-and-white picture to the same board or to a different one.

Aims

The final position of both copies will reflect the possible coherence or discrepancy in the interpretation of the images between «owner» and «receiver», making visible the richness and variety of backgrounds and intentions that move the IAR at HSLU.

The once empty boards are now inhabited by hopes and dreams. A collective Mnemosyne Atlas, for the future.
