In Spring 2021, the students of the Master\u2019s Program \u00abArchitecture & Structure\u00bb designed a public space for the \u00abMolino Nuovo\u00bb neighbourhood in Lugano. They designed a building and a free space, with the two things closely related. \n<\/h3>\n\n

A neighbourhood centre with a piazza is intended to improve the identity of the Molino Nuovo neighbourhood, to give it a face and a public sphere. The urban space is largely defined beyond its margins. The space, however, lacked public use, centrality and an attractive design that would make it a focus of the social life and urban space of the neighbourhood.<\/p>\n\n
