Revolutionizing Health: AI-Powered Glucose Monitoring Without the Pric<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Yasmine\u2019s project aims to predict hypoglycemia \u2013 a condition that can be dangerous during sleep \u2013 by using data from commercially available wearable devices, a continuous glucose monitor (CGM), and diary notes and by training machine learning models with the data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artificial Intelligence (AI) helps her to rethink health monitoring. Around half a million people in Switzerland have diabetes, requiring regular blood sugar measurements through blood samples or body-attached devices. But could smartwatches or similar devices soon be programmed to warn them about hypoglycemia?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The algorithms developed in Yasmine\u2019s Master\u2019s thesis aim to provide non-invasive alerts for hypoglycemia. When integrated into smartwatches, these algorithms could offer people with diabetes a valuable new tool to manage their health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
